Dream, I'm curious. You talk about the district not transporting kids to the pre-k yet you had no issue with driving your child to his non-home school?
Personally I think kids should attend their assigned school. Why did they ever allow transfers in the first place? No school is really better than the other.
Also, I understand that the pre-k is not a mandated state program. I believe Edwardsville even eliminated theirs. So my question is, if you can house these pre-k kids in an open building and it doesn't cost the taxpayers any extra, who cares where you put them? My kids attended a pre-k and my wife drove them there every day. We shouldn't be paying to bus kids who aren't mandated to be in school.
