This will be a two part discussion

1. do we want to allow 2 claim periods; the current mid season waiver draft that takes effect in Q3 and an additional claim period that would allow you to claim a player for Q4

2. If yes, do we want to institute this in the current season or wait until the 2027 season.

If we allow this it will not be a second zoom draft like we do between Q2 & Q3. This will be a simple off line via email choose a player cut a player, you will still need to have the required points to claim a player and you will only be allowed to claim players that are carded for the current season. The purpose of this would be to help the teams with playing time issues pick up someone that can absorb some PA in Q4, not to hoard future talent and keep it from going into the off season free agency auction.

My personal opinion is that I don't really have one on rather or not we should expand waivers to Q4 but if we do I believe we should not implement it until 2027. I think this would be unfair to anyone that made a deal in the off season to insure they have enough playing time for the entire season. If they knew they had two opportunities to get a guy with 50-60 PA maybe they wouldn't have made that last trade or they would have kept an uncarded player they released in favor of the 40th man on their roster that had 80 PA because they thought they needed that card in Q4.
