who is this BIL...is he your hb's brother or a BIL by marriage from a sister of your hb's?

He sure has been a help for you, whether he wants property for himself or just a good guy...either way.
I've known people that have sold their property to investors, stay living in the house indefinately by renting it back.
At least there would be funds to live on and you could stay in the house.
...of course, that's CA, not sure how things work in other states
