Hi Guys Thanks for your input after following Simons list to the letter the FAP light stayed out a whole month. After reading new posts on same problem I sent the vehicle to our local Peugeot dealer telling them of all the history and work we had done. They have had the vehicle now for 2 weeks and not able to cure the problem as the vehicle has now done 90,000 with no cam belt record they now refuse to carry out any further re-gens on the filter.

The up shot is they have records for the same vehicle up to early 2008 to 76,000 miles on their records and last time they saw the vehicle advised the code for the FAP filter to the previous owner. The problem now it is running up a hefty bill, they have done over 150 miles road testing, connected their scanner 6 times & carried out three re-gens. Now it needs a cam belt £250.00 Peugeot technical want further tests & parts replacing £425.00 then most probably ECU £725.00 every one suspects the ECU unit as it will manually re-gen but wont automatically do this on its own initiative, but Peugeot Technical insist on further remedial work before writing off the ECU.

The Car sales firm who sold it are going to refund their customer & auction off the Peugeot embarrassingly they have sold his Jaguar PX.

I have to take my hat off to the dealer as they only charged me £202.00 for 8hrs work including £20.00 fuel & £28.00 Eloys fluid and I talked in length to the Teck about the problem. He said they have not had one they have not been able to cure yet; but if any 307 is going to give trouble it is the early type with the one piece FAP filter & Cat. Apparently after 2004 The Cat is separate with the filter bolted on behind.
