Hi Colin, "Do you think the Launch code means pressure signal from the sensor or to the regulator?" Your rail pressure code "short to positive" is because the signal/rail pressure is "higher" than the ECU is commanding. Not sure what you mean by "or to the regulator" The ECU controls the pressure control solenoid on the HP pump, using info from the rail pressure sensor, If the ECU is told that the rail pressure is higher than expected, it will try and drive it down by opening the pressure control solenoid more and allowing more fuel to return to tank, if the rail pressure doesn't respond as expected then engine will either shut down or have reduced performance.
