Kevin I did actually pull an EGR code today (Launch definition P0400 EGR FLOW MALFUNCTION) I have looked at EGR position feedback in live data & it reads as follows... EGR CONTROL VALVE REQUESTED......115% EGR CONTROL VALVE................95% EGR FEEDBACK SIGNAL..............90% Tony Its hard to say if the lack of boost is due to the management "backing it off" or another issue. If I rev it with the pipe connected & the turbo actuator arm pulled full travel it revs to about 2,500 rpm & sounds really strangled & black smokes badly. If I rev it with the vac hose disconnected it will rev freely. If I hold the revs at 2,500 rpm & then introduce the vacuum to the actuator I can feel the intercooler hose swell. I have no pressure tester available yet, but it feels like decent pressure, so I think all the pressure hoses are ok. MAF sensor tested & looks reasonable...... I may be a bit "Blinkered" on this one, but I am convinced that the turbo actuator arm is in the wrong position & is causing the overboost. This is only based on what I have noticed on other variable vane turbo’s though. Thanks for the input Dave (Hill)
