Exellent point 10 out of 10, Kevin Francks, if people only put a bit more though about how thier comments can affect the confidense of people who are trying to do their best in a difficult enough environment in this job, and try to be a bit more encourageing it might have a more positive effect.
We are not all natural genuis, but my belief is, if you have a gunuine interest in the job you are doing and a reasonable level of intelligance, you will succeed, and be good at your chosen career, whatever that may be.
I live outside the UK and envy the the courses and tuition available to you, but still do the best that I can via internet, books and the odd course that is available, because I have a passion for this work and cant think of anything else I would rather be diong.
I worked previously in industrial maintenance as team leader and trainer and realise how easy it is to knock back the confidense of someone who needs encouragement. It is very easy to kill the pontenial of someone who can be excepional in their field. IE people skills.
