Hi Mike,
how right you are.
Sean came over today and I reset the Injector calibrations using IDS.
The code cleared as I knew it would and the vehicle now drives as it should (or should I
say as a Ford does 
)
The early mondeo (before June 03) have a separate amp for the injectors and as I have mentioned before IDS appears to be the only tool to comm with the external amp and enter the codes correctly.
