thanks for the response mate
not sure whitch fuse was replaced, the info is third hand, another garage's customer.
the imv has 12v to both wires
cant remember what the voltage reading on the rail was but it did take a while to build up to max.
i don't think they would have used booster pack while winch was running.
One other thing is the crank sensor only just reaches 1 volt when cranking although this has been changed and can be seen by the scan tool
