As you now should know your pump is F**ked, P1680 (or P1608 it seems to be different and correct in the post) watchdog code points to this above all other.
A new ford pump or a virginized pump will code itself if ignition on first time rule is applied (its in achives) but a s/h pump will need codeing, but as i have never (and will not fit a s/h pump) i can only go on how the system works.
