Ok,I cant argue as to whether these pumps are coded or not,afraid I dont have the definitive answer there  However,there's only the one type...Endura Di iirc,and I fitted a new Ford pump and the engine started up all ok,so whether that was luck or what? Question is whether a 98 Focus is worth an expensive sort
