Found this.....(but relates to Kia Sedona V6 3.2 2002)
Unfortunately doesn't seem to have anything on the diesel version.
Also, there is a tsb on P0340 occurring on the Rio which is cured by software update (petrol version again) and faulty crank sensors.
Potentially all useless info but maybe better than nothing.
