Both faults produce the same symptom of fuse 8 blowing & logging the DTC's for Manifold Flap & Fan control. The cause is different, sometimes it is the manifold flap, sometimes the fan pack - but each fault is probably equally as common.
On the A3, Audi sell a modified reduced price fan pack with both fans, VW aren't so polite - they charge full price for individual Master & slave fans.
The reason I posted was to make UKAT aware that the fuse can blow for 2 different reasons & both circuits need to be checked before condemning the manifold flap.
