It’s hard to understand why he didn’t forfeit all eligibility, especially after students have been barred for one bet that did not involve their team or sport.
Part of the problem is they delay it all after the trial. There’s time to hold the trial.

I realize colleges are now mostly shameless in pursuit of money and success. But TT's effort to keep the QB who has admitted that he repeatedly gambled on sports, including football, is absurd.
Tech should have kicked him off the team and left it at that.
I suppose it's a bit hard for greedy schools and networks to say no, considering I get pop-up ads for gambling on prop bets while watching games.
And of course it's funny how the loss of the QB changes the betting line on TT's chances to win its league.
