Yesterday was 65th anniversary of Mazeroski's walk-off World Series homer...

My father grew up (and remained) a Pirates fan. My first MLB game was at Forbes Field. My parents wanted to see a World Series game in the 1960 series, and decided to go to New York, where they saw a blowout loss, one of three blowouts by the Yankees. They missed one of the most famous home runs of all time back in Pittsburgh. Mazeroski lives on at age 89, with a nice statue of him running the bases, hat in hand, which I have seen with my son outside the Pirates' current stadium. You know you are getting old when the stadium of your first game has been replaced twice.
