Have looked at Stoke chat site. Some on there think that Fondop gave their defence more problems than many front players in the championship last season.Also they were impressed with KAF and GSM who was up against a £15 mill winger. My Stoke step son couldn't believe they both were playing National League and GSM had never played League football.
With regard to all the players. Myself and wife stayed at Double Tree Hotel and the squad had lunch there before the match, I was lucky to have along conversation Manny Monthe(what a great guy)and told me about his time in football when he was younger. He asked me about my 1st game at Latics at Southport in 1955 and told me when he was at QPR he was loaned to Southport when he was very young.
Also had a few words with Tom Hill.
I have to say they all looked very smart and are a credit to the club.
