I've not been a Mellon lover for some time but I'm prepared to eat humble pie if I need to. I have to admit that I have been very disappointed with some of the displays that have involved severe neck strain for the majority of the matches. I'm glad that we have ditched the 'play it out from the back' theory from dead ball kicks and I'm pleased with the current style of play that we are trying to achieve. We just have to provide the finishing article i.e. the goals!

Under Mellon we have made steady improvement and the players are still learning to play (football) with one another so we should show continued improvement over the coming weeks. If he keeps off the hoof-ball and sends his team out with the intention to win the game like recent displays have shown, I'll give him the benefit of my doubt.
