A few years ago now I viewed a property and got chatting with the couple who's house it was. His wife explained that her husband had recently retired from the Police force and that they were moving to Scotland, back to where he was originally from. We were chatting away and football became the topic of conversation, his wife then started to tell us that her husband was a football player before his exploits with the
law, which certainly got my attention. I apologised that I didn't recognise him but also asked him who he played for, to which he replied Oldham Athletic.... oh and Luton Town.
