Mr Chairman. A story about Bobby. Season 1990-91. when we won Div 2. Early in the season we played Portsmouth at home (won 3-1) I was on Sheepfoot lane about 40 minutes before kick off and I spotted Bobby talking with some one near the players entrance. I approached and asked Bobby if he had resigned for us. He obviously had a laugh and said he would have loved to play with the current team. I had a programme in my hand and asked for his autograph. I passed it and a pen to him and he asked me where would I like him to sign. I said the subs were just dotted lines and so he signed as a sub for the game.
I gave away around 1000 programmes a few years ago, but I kept that one and a few others.
