This was a fun exercise. Thinking that a major film making country like Italy was unrepresented in the past, I picked two Italian films among the 12. I also followed Don's lead and threw in Bob Le Flambeur, because it seems to be an obvious pick. No doubt Eddie is going to pair one foreign and one domestic in a double bill. I didn't pick these titles with the thought with what American noir would be compatible with it. There are so many fine foreign noirs that it was tough to make a decision, so this is absolutely 100% arbitrary. 12 films from 9 countries. I stuck with b/w titles, and I purposefully ignored neo noirs from the last 30-40 years.
