True enough, but many of those films are not necessarily available in standard prints, which limits what's possible if one is committed to staying away from digital projection.
Carl, we showed UNE SI JOLIE PETITE PLAGE in the Los Angeles version of the series (it was paired with another Gerard Philipe film, Bunuel's LA FIEVRE MONTE A EL PAO, which also starred Maria Felix and Jean Servais). We haven't screened it in the FRENCH HAD A NAME FOR IT series because it's relatively well-known and we have primarily focused (with a few exceptions) on films that haven't been seen in the US for a very long time (if ever).
