If he were to do a 1948 festival, why limit it to domestic noirs, especially since so many of them have been screened a number of times before? Include some UK titles (e.g. No Orchids For Miss Blandish ,Noose, Daughter Of Darkness), as well as a few foreign language titles(e.g. Senza Pieta, Drunken Angel, Una Aventura En La Noche). I know that younger members of the NC audience who have yet to fully pay their noir dues have to be taken into account, but for veteran noir watchers reprising the same domestic product over and over is just so boring.
