Call me an old codger if you will, but I'm still a fan of matchday programmes.
Online digital info is OK - I even read it sometimes - but there is still something special about a good, well-written and attractively
presented programme.
Which is what I found in my hands at the Wombles game. I read it from cover to cover (I usually do) and reflected that it was much
better than the comparable items produced by other clubs.
Even the supposedly top-drawer effort issued by Spurs two years ago was not as good as what was on offer (for a very reasonable
three pounds) at our opening game.
Besides which, it is something I can look at again some time in the future: more difficult and less rewarding if only digital records
are available.
