    Matchday programmes

Just watching the piece on BBC Breakfast this morning about matchday programmes dying out. Watford being the latest club, selling around 1,500 against Luton last season, which was 3x the number vs. Swansea.

I know it's occasionally difficult to find them - the Kenilworth forecourt is busier in recent seasons with all the TV trucks taking up space.

Honestly, I'd back Luton removing theirs, with more content being placed on the club's website as a result. The club maybe produces 3 items per day for the website? Feels like they could be doing more there.

Put more youth, academy and women's reporting on there. Use it to advertise club / matchday sponsors - transfer the information to the website.

The costs of producing one have probably escalated substantially in recent seasons. Is it really value for money, for both the club and customer? Probably not.

A lot has been made about lack of communication. Send the CEO's, manager's and captain's notes via email every match before putting on the website, even ahead of each game. Surely more people will see it that way? I know the increasing digitisation of life will antagonise older people (like everything), but perhaps other means can be used to get them access to information.
