Don't know what to say. Squishy soft primers, south hammer springs, weird bushing/pin combo? It's 110 years old, so anything could happen.
I was thinking that the critical measurement is pin protrusion. Regardless of what happens behind the face, how much sticks out and how hard it's hitting I would think would be the root cause of my issue.
I dealt with a Fox with light strikes, and checking that pin protrusion was within factory spec was important. What's factory protrusion in an Elsie supposed to be?
