I have a hammer gun that I shoot more than other guns I have and firing it shortly after getting it, the left barrel would not fire using Winchester primers. I took the firing pin out and measured it, ok. I made one with a .030 longer tip section, no good. Changed mainsprings, no. I found out that the left barrel would not accept Winchester primers. It fires everything else just fine, so now there is a hang tag on the hammer stating not for Winchester primers. I reload and have a few hundred loaded with Winchester's but not for this gun. Go figure.
