Good Morning John and thank you for the reply. You are correct in that it is infact a 2E. I found the numbers and its dated to 1911. One unique feature is that it has a single quail on both sides. My research has found that on occasion some guns may have something other than waterfowl on the right lock. I really enjoy this gun and practice bringing it to shoulder while envisioning my grouse hunting this fall. Oh, I was very fortunate to have found this at an auction and purchased it for $550 .
