Thanks for the information. I have disassembled and assembled many LC Smiths. I have also built a clamp to properly align the top lever when assembling the gun as the top lever spring prevents proper alignment when installing trigger plate. I believe I am going to order a new stock for the main reason of having new wood that will not be as weak as the current wood is. I believe it would take the same amount of time for me to repair stock as it would for me to inlet, finish, and checker. Thanks for all the help as this has helped me learn another way of approaching problems such as this if the need ever arises on another Elsie. Thanks Zachary
