Zachary, two things, one is your 00 16 gauge on a Regular Frame or Featherweight frame? The Featherweight frame would have two screws in the left lock plate. Two, does the bottom of the stock where the metal meets the wood straight or on a slight bevel?
Most of the stocks seen on the Internet are for Featherweight frames and if yours is on a Featherweight frame you should be okay.
I put a 12 gauge Featherweight stock on a 16 gauge Featherweight and the only thing I had to do was mortise out the area for the trigger to fit a Hunter One Trigger.
