You da man!!! You know, I had seen this somewhere before but I just couldn't remember where. The tubes on that gun I was discussing were in very good shape but....they where so worn and "shiny" (for lack of a better description), I could barely distinguish a pattern. What I'm seeing here is fairly close to what I remember them looking like.

PS. In the FWIW column, very fine damascus-barreled guns are becoming the new "premium" in the high-end gun world, from what I'm seeing. Your hard-won knowledge of the subject might not be so worthless before too very long.
