Now that you have your grouse gun, I was going to suggest a book on the subject of your primary prey species. If you don't already have it, the Grouse Hunter's Guide by Dennis Walrod is, I believe, still in print and fairly inexpensive (~$20). I'm not saying that it's the Bible of the sport, but IMHO it comes close. I believe the author is based somewhere in Western New York state, so the info and tactics should apply nicely to good ole' Penn's woods.
