It seems that Revdocdrew's answer to my question a few days ago completely blew past me and until John's and Researcher's responses, my thick skull had could not grasp that both the Eagle Grade and Trap Grade could be a trap gun. Hence the "Eagle Trap" Grade I steadfastly referred to. Silly me. (Sorry Revdocdrew.) But I'm finally learning! This LC Smith has become a favorite and I have found it to be perfectly balanced and exceptionally accurate- and very fun to shoot! I really enjoy shooting most of my collection, but this shotgun does make me happy. And learning about LC Smith guns (even though it takes a bit of time for the info to sink in) has also captured a lot of my attention. The record collections at the Cody Museum will be closed until next week for Thanksgiving and then I will follow up ya'll's advice to order all of the records they have on file for this gun. Again, thanks for the information! Tom [ps- I posted this earlier but couldn't find it so am posting it again- sorry about the spam.]
