My 1919 Specialty Grade Featherweight frame Elsie has two sets of barrels and two forends, as I have posted before. Two simple questions - first, will the forends interchange (matching serial numbers), and secondly, what is the proper procedure for reattaching the forend to the barrels - do the cocking pins(?) on the receiver have to be in any particular position? I seem to be having trouble doing this and I don't want to use any force. I know the gun is cocked as the pins will move freely. Any wisdom will be appreciated.
