I shipped a Tolley 8 gauge double I'd bought here in the US for a friend in England over to him about 2 years ago without a hitch. I think the trick is finding out the name of the man that handles gun import and talking to him beforehand. We did that and the gun went straight away without any problems. Damascus guns shouldn't be a problem to send at all because most of them are over 100 years old and that's their cutoff for an antique firearm just like 1898 is our cutoff here. Once you know all the rules you're good to go, you've just got to hope that everybody handling the package knows them as well as you do.
