    An interesting chart from 40 yrs ago. I just patterned the Eley Grand Prix 15/16 oz at 1225 with 2.8mm (US 6) shot through my 1911 OOE. Through the .014 brl it had >90% of the shot in a 20" circle at 25 yds and a 26" pattern through the .007 brl, closer to M/F than IC/M. Clearly, modern wad and shotshell construction have tightened patterns for a given choke constriction considerably. Eley has not responded to my request for the psi but at least the recoil was slightly less than the Gamebore Traditional Game 1 oz at 1260 which runs 8122 psi (and yes, I understand pressure has nothing to do with recoil.)
