Brophy mentions in his section on the Premier Skeet that "...when The L.C. Smith Gun Company ceased operations, a number of unfinished Premier Skeet frames barrels and parts were sold to gun shops and gunsmiths. In some cases, these components have been assembled into finished guns which are now being represented as original." Without a letter from Cody I'd be real skeptical of a gun with incomplete markings!!
