Fast foward to Premier Skeet FWS 54057 which was shipped on Sept 13,1949 (Cody Letter)and the ser# is 2,101 higher than Stanleys but shipped 2 months later. The barrel flats are marked "Premier Skeet S 54057 2 3/4 Chamber". No roll stamping on the top of the barrels. The factory apparently shipped the finished guns in a hap hazzard method and not according to the way the ser#'s number ran. The Cody Letter does give ten different pieces of info which shows it was finished when shipped but refers to the gun as just "Premier Grade" Jim
