I fully agree. Dr. Drew Hause is the primary Forum moderator, but I check it once or twice each day. Since we are in different time zones, my early-morning check sometimes catches things posted during the night before Dr. Drew sees them.
We receive criticism from the gunsmith when we allow a negative post to remain. At the same time, when a post is removed the poster complains. We've allowed negative comments to remain if they are reasonable and civil. Last week, I removed one early-morning comment that alleged criminal fraud and two more that were laden with profanity directed at a gunsmith. I will continue to remove those kinds of posts.
I do not think that the Forum should be used to promote business for gunsmiths. It may appear to some that the LCSCA is endorsing this individual. Paid advertising should be used to promote a business, and should not be accomplished by exploiting the LCSCA by using the Forum for free advertising.
Dan, thanks for your perspective and for all of the work that Dr. Drew does for the LCSCA.
