What amazed me was all 3 pundits agreed we had “got away with one” for a tackle where there was an enormous amount of contact on the ball…..whatever anyone thinks of the subsequent contact on Mateta.
2 games later and it’s Forest v Fulham…….Fulham lad hooks his foot around the Forests lads ankle, sweeps his foot from him and Zero contact on the ball. MOTD brains trust verdict……”not enough contact to justify a pen for me, so I don’t think so”!!! I mean, at the end of the day, who cares? It wasn’t given, but just amazes me when people suggest we need ex pros to help refs out…….they talk more crap than anyone
