He nearly cut Richarlison in half, tbf.
All he's done there is slipped to the side after he's played the ball and caught him with the follow through. It's ugly, but aesthetics isn't a measure of whether or not a tackle is fair.
The technique is weird because he's gone to the side to stop taking him from the back.
