Our home form, stats, shots, possession, xG and all that you saw with your eyes last night, was largely the same as we've had before.
If anything we had less possession and less shots than we did against man u.
In the end, it came down to hard work and luck. We always work hard, so just luck then.
We are lucky that Trippier is not the player he was last season, and that he's slowed down a bit. He was at fault for both of the first goals with just a bit of pressure on him. We are also lucky that gordon shat himself when given the easiest of chances in front of goal.
I'm more convinced than ever that it doesn't matter if we are playing home or away. The performances seem to be roughly the same and we seem to be playing to around the maximum of our abilities at the moment.
