Hi. I wonder if someone could help and double-check a document online. I have had help previously from some wonderful people on here before regarding Orlando Hallett and want to follow it up. I have looked at images on FMP for Orlando, especially those from the 'British Royal Navy and Royal Marine Service pension records'. One column in the ledger is headed 'In what ship wounded and last served.' In one or two ledgers, next to Orlando it appears to have been written 3rd Div and in others 3 DRM. I believe this would mean he is in the Royal Marines, Plymouth Division. If anyone has access to FMP could you double check this for me please? If he was in the Royal Marines and not the Royal Navy. If this is the case the attestations for him (time of enlistment) do not exist and I need to consult the Description books at TNA. I don't want a wasted journey (hour and a half drive) looking at records that he does not appear in.
