In the interval 1817 - 1835 Winifred and Samuel had 9 children baptised in Ilsington. Earlier children baptised with name Conybeare (or some variation) and later children with name Pengelly. In census Winifred born Ilsington about 1789,and a Winifred Frost was baptised in the parish in that year to George Frost and Winifred Perryman. Winifred Frost had siblings with marriages recorded, but cannot find marriage for Winifred herself. Unclear as to whether Samuel might have used name Conybeare or Pengelly. Is it possible they weren't married? How likely would that be if the church seemed willing to baptise their children as if they were?
