There is a record for him when he joined as a boy sailor, with father signing for consent. (Ancestry link to National archives, currently free). what is interesting is that the page referring to "Man time" after he is 18 is covered up, and only the signatures are there. o he is saying he is unemployed on the census, perhaps he was unfit for some reason, and had to leave. I founda Henry Forsey in Quebec, 1891 census says he was born in England and is 40. could that be him? |
