1. Queens Consort wear a purple robe throughout their coronation. There is no change of vesture, as there is with the Sovereign.
2. A King and Queen walk hand-in-hand during the Procession through the Royal Gallery at the State Opening of Parliament, in the same way as The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh do during the present reign. As both the King and the Queen wear parliamentary robes, the pages have to concertina together behind them!
3. So, yes, it's pages. Queens (with the exception of Alexandra) in the 20th century had maids of honour at their coronations but it has always been pages at State Openings. The present Queen made do with two pages in the early years of the reign but the weight is enormous and Her Majesty soon opted for four.
