Hello Jinja, the Queen Mother used Queen Mary's purple robe that she wore to her sons coronation in 1937, this was the first time a Queen dowager attended a coronation, therefor she could not use her own coronation robe. So a plain purple robe a little larger than a Princesses was made.thats the one that was used.Colin
