Link: August 2024 PPM Ratings
I note WBBM-AM is no longer combined with WCFS-FM/105.9. I read somewhere this station is pre-recorded overnight. I cannot verify this.
What exactly is WLIT-FM doing or not doing to cause a dip in their 6+ ratings? Soon enough, Christmas music will bring the annual bonus of ratings and revenue.
I see WXRT-FM/93.1 took a dip from 5.3 to 4.8. Music stations may have taken a backseat to news.
Football is about to begin; we still have baseball and more.
WLS-FM has found their niche. 3.9 to a 4.2. They always seem to bounce back. WRME-LD 87.7 is competitive. This is a platform to advertise Me-TV and related channels that company operates. A friend who is 70 confesses to listening to both WLS-FM and WRME. When I asked about his favorite music, 50s, 60s and early 70s. This would knock WLS-FM out of the picture in my mind. I have no idea what WRME-LD plays. Their audience is out of the desired demographic for premium advertisers.
Both WBMX-FM/104.3 and WTMX-FM/101.9 have been tied for the last 3 surveys.
WKQX-FM/101.1 finally found an audience! This could be historic in their format. It may be the reason why WXRT-FM took a dip this month. 'KQX-FM rose from a 1.9 to a 2.5.
WBBM-FM/96.3 and WKSC-FM/103.5 are pretty close with a 2.5 and a 2.1 respectively. Has B96 adjusted their music again? Jeremy? WYTZZ95FM?
WSCR-AM/670 The Score has risen to a 2.4 from a 2.2.
WCHI-FM/95.5 has dropped from 2.4 to 2.2. My 2 cents. No, you're not Chicago's rock station. Rock is so fragmented, there are too many factions out there. This is about as good as it gets for WCHI-FM. They may hit a 2.5 or slightly higher, but I would not bet the farm. WDRV-FM/97.1 has a stranglehold in the "Classic Rock" arena. WCHI-FM is trying to please too many demos and females are a major factor. Look at what they are "forced" to play to keep the ladies listening.
WLS-AM/890 is slowly moving up to a 1.5 from a 1.2. There is a Presidential election in November.
WERV-FM/95.9 with their Alternative format holds steady with a 0.3. This Aurora station cannot penetrate Chicago proper due to their suburban signal.
