WLIT went heavy on the Disco and Classic R&B for a period of time in the Mid 2000s as did 100.3. I think they had a few years with it.

Speaking of 100.3, they used You Light Up My Life as a punchline in a liner against WLIT "Sleeping with the light on" in the final days of WNND before shifting to Love FM. It's kind of like Nickelback and Creed. People just suddenly started hating it and using it as a punchline.
