Re: rebuilt carb and now acts flooded and wont start
If it was me, here's what I'd try. Take the carb completely off, stick something in the fuel line to keep it blocked off. Let it set a while to ensure any excess fuel in the intake has evaporated. Then spray some starting fluid (just a little) into the intake where the carb was and see if it will start up and run for a second. If you have a helper, they can turn the key for you and you can spray the fluid in a little at a time and it may run longer. I've done this many times to see if problem was timing or fuel. Doesn't take long. Just a suggestion.
