Isaiah 66: vs 6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
Now, consider those who historically are presented with a word of truth, even in recent years, who pick and choose what they want to hear. These are they who even now, come here, and skip through the threads. They don’t read every word, they think they already know everything. SO they read post one in a thread, skip down three posts read another, read next the final post and assume they got all that was to be gleaned from such. Do you think the LORD honors such? No, he does not.
So, these same people, historically, they read part, think they have the whole idea, and in fact gain nothing, and then go about backbiting, spreading lies and rumour to discredit the message, and when that fails they do the same to discredit the messenger. These are not those seen in Vs 5 above of Isaiah 66. These same miss important points, and some will likely do so here, thinking “Oh, I read that years ago, I don’t need to read it again!” and in such, miss important details such as this very update in 2013 to this study originally presented 5 years ago.
Some will read vs 6 and see only one voice presented. BUT THIS IS NOT TRUTH. There are 3 voices PRESENTED, and in IDENTIFYING THEM, by RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH, we will see a hidden truth, hidden to now, to this timeframe for THIS GENERATION…that clarifies for our Generation, that the EVENT seen here in ISAIAH 66, is the same seen in Zecheriah 14, and the CITY seen in each, ISIAIAH 66, ZECHERIAH 14 and REVELATION 21…are in fact ALL THE SAME!
So Lets look again:
”A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.”
Here is the truth that places things in proper perspective, the voices we see in fact in Isaiah 66:6 are :
1) A VOICE OF NOISE FROM THE CITY
2) A VOICE FROM THE TEMPLE
3) A VOICE OF THE LORD THAT RENDERTH RECOMPENSE TO HIS ENEMIES
A voice of noise from the city is applicable to one of TWO cities seen in Revelation 21, and in Zecheriah 14 in more clear terms. We see in each one world passing as another comes into existence. We see in each the arrival of “A CITY COMING DOWN” the “NEW JERUSALEM”.
In both, the earthly Jerusalem is being pillaged ransacked, I believe this to be the actual source of “NOISE FROM THE CITY.” NOISE, indicates CONFUSION, and such will be the state of the Earthly City of Jerusalem as seen quite clearly in the first 3 verses of Zecheriah chapter 14.
But it is quite possible as this CITY COMING DOWN, will be a CELESTIAL BODY, a “TRAVELLING THRONE (Daniel chapter 7)” if you will, there could possible be the sound of engines with the arrival of that celestial city. Either way, this VOICE OF NOISE…is the sound of STATIC, not of a single individual speaking. It is quite obvious the 3rd of these voices is a single voice, the “VOICE OF THE LORD THAT RENDERTH RECOMPENSE TO HIS ENEMIES” !
But what of the second voice…do you hear “A VOICE FROM INSIDE THE TEMPLE?”
Yes?
No?
Or do you hear “ A VOICE FROM OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE DOOR?”
Yes?
No?
Now I am going ask you a couple questions after I state a couple things. In Zecheriah 14, we see an earthquake, we see a day in which it cannot be determined if it is day or night, Amos calls it “A DAY OF DARKNESS, THE DAY OF THE LORD IS A DAY OF DARKNESS AND THERE IS NO LIGHT IN IT!” And such is a truth, but at the end of that day, in the EVENING portion of that day spoken of in the first 6 or 7, perhaps the first 9 or 10 verses of Zecheriah 14, we see a similar day, where only to the LORD is known the actual TIME, and then at EVENING, when it should be dark in normal times, in this time of darkeness when it is unclear if it is day or night, at THE EVENING, IT IS LIGHT! The whole world in darkness will have LIGHT eminating from that city!
Question ONE, WHERE does that LIGHT at EVENING just mentioned come from?
Before you answer, read on. Next, that second VOICE if you did not read that the voice came
”FROM INSIDE THE TEMPLE”…if you did not read that that voice came “FROM THE TEMPLE DOOR…” or “OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE”…but only that the voice came from “THE TEMPLE”…is it then possible that the TEMPLE itself speaks?
Do we at any point in scripture see a building of brick and mortar, a tent of goat skin, a building of Gold ever have the ability to render speech? Right.
But again, is it possible that somewhere in SCRIPTURE we can see not only an ATHORATATIVE VOICE as is witnessed in the timeframe of Isaiah 66 vs 6, but an example of just ONE TEMPLE that would have the ability to render Speech?
I submit to you that the answer to both of the questions just asked you, resides in Revelation 21:
vs 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
vs 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
SO you see, while the NEW JERUSALEM will have no actual Temple in the traditional sense of a structure erected where PRIESTs perform animal sacrifices to The LORD, that city will have the PRESENCE OF A TEMPLE in the form of THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, and “THE LAMB” of God, his Christ. Vs 23 easily illustrates to us where the light of that city originates from, and in time when the SUN, the MOON, and the STARS will be darkened, that city will have no need of the light of those celestial bodies, and the earth as seen in Zecheriah 14, at EVENING, when it otherwise would normally be dark, will in fact BE LIGHTENED by the very prescense of that CITY, “NEW JERUSALEM.”
And as to the identity of that 2nd voice of Isaiah 66:6, as to A TEMPLE That also has the ability to RENDER SPEECH, and in ATHORITATIVE fashion, that VOICE is not someone inside a structure erected to perform animal sacrifice, but from the “TEMPLE” itself, the actual PERSONS OF “THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY” and “THE LAMB” of God.
*End Update January 4, 2013
The study will now resume at the same place it continued before this update in the study placed in 2008 on “The Mt. Carmel Discussion Board.” As we continue, to bring the study back into continuity in it’s present posting, recall that we see then in Isaiah 66, Revelation 21, and Zecheriah 14 each illustrating with differing levels of detail, THE SAME EVENT, the ARRIVAL of THE LORD, THE ARRIVAL OF “A CITY COMING DOWN”…the NEW JERUSALEM.

Zecheriah 14
14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations,
as when he fought in the day of battle.
14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the
people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume
away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume
away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Revelations 21
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall
flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his
servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
Revelations 21 cites
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
Zechariah clearly illustrates in chapter 14, that the bowls of the alter will be replaced by the pots in the city of the new Jerusalem. Try going to Jerusalem today, and proposing to use a regular old cooking pot for sacrificial offering...see what you run into. I don't (Think) you would be well received, and they are gearing up to rebuild the temple as we discuss this. Such a suggestion to devout Jews would be a sacrilege. Those bowls are a source of pride...made of pure gold. If they could be replaced by something as common as a cooking pot...it only stands to reason some other customs are replaced as well.
